Inner peace can be reached only when we practice forgiveness. Forgiveness is letting go of the past, and is therefore the means for correcting our misperceptions.

This week, after many years, I reconnected with an old friend whom I had once hurt and who had hurt me. Getting over the past, forgiving yourself and others, and remembering why you were friends with someone in the first place feels good. If you’re looking for a way to find peace this holiday season, I highly recommend it. -Camille
Surprisingly, perfectionists are often procrastinators, as they can tend to think “I don’t have the right skills or resources to do this perfectly now, so I won’t do it at all.”
My entire educational experience summed up in one sentence.
Seriously when the hell are people going to wake up? These people don’t care about the people. The part of “Corporations are people my friend,” don’t give a shit and are doing everything in their power to make it impossible for those who aren’t wall street bankers or CEOs to get by. This year let’s vote the assholes out please. Whatever your affiliations are, however often you have voted for family values, I have to tell you something. Trying to kill the middle class, strip the less well off of any kind of social safety net is not a family value, it is greedy and unAmerican.
For fifty years you were my favorite poem. And I would read you every night knowing I might never understand every word but that was okay, because the lines of you were the closest thing to holy I’d ever heard.
You’d say this kind of love has to be a verb.
So today Angelina Jolie had double mastectomy, which is the removal of one’s breasts, to prevent Breast cancer. So instead of praising Angelina on her bravery, men on Twitter decided to ridicule her, even calling her stupid for removing her breasts. For those of you on Tumblr that are attacking Feminists for being delusional about sexism against women and misogyny here’s your fucking proof that sexism and misogyny exists.
Our celebrity obsessed culture may be a joke but breast cancer definitely isn’t - nearly 500,000 people die from it every year. Angelina Jolie’s doctors estimated she had an 87% risk of developing breast cancer and a 50% risk of developing ovarian cancer because she carries the common gene mutation that causes both. Her mother died at the age of 56 after a long battle with cancer as well. My own mother had both breast and ovarian cancer within a couple short years and let me tell you, it’s about the least funny thing in the world to watch someone suffer from.
Valuing someone’s body parts you sexualized over their life and humanity goes beyond sexism, it’s sub-human.
